Artist's Comments
This is the second window mural of a three-window mural set. This piece is based on the life, art, and environments of the pre-hispanic Maya. This mural was once on the front of a bilingual bookstore/cafe but a new business came in and destroyed the windows. The other two murals are about the Olmec and the Aztec of Mesoamerica. This piece shows the burial of a famous Maya ruler Pakal at Palenque, as well as refereces to the sites of Tikal, Uxmal and Copan.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
